Priority Application Deadlines

These dates are for priority consideration. Applications will be available after these dates; however, decisions are based on the student's ability to submit all required documents by the General Admission deadlines. International applicants must submit materials 30 days prior to the standard deadline.

  • Spring semester: October 1
  • Summer semester: March 1
  • Fall semester: April 1

Important Admission Deadlines for Spring

Students wishing to be fully considered for admission should submit all application materials by the application deadline dates below to receive full consideration for admission for their desired term of entry. Students that apply after the application deadline will be considered for admission, but will not be guaranteed acceptance to the university for the requested term.

Certificate, Associate Degree, and/or Access Pathway Bachelor'S Degree Requirements

Prospective first-year students must meet one of the following admission criteria:

  • 2.0+ unweighted GPA with Evidence Writing 480 & Math 440 SAT or
  • 2.0+ unweighted GPA with English or Reading 17 or Math 17 
  • Applicants with a high school GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 can be admitted into our access pathway programs.  

Requirements include satisfactory completion of the Required High School Curriculum and all other requested documentation.  

The University System of Georgia authorized this change.

Required High School Curriculum Requirements 

Applicants must meet the University System of Georgia’s Required High School Curriculum Requirements for regular admission. The high school curriculum is the cornerstone of the University System of Georgia (USG) admissions policy. The high school requirements must be met by all freshman applicants and transfer applicants with less than 30 transferable semester hours. 4 Units of English
4 Units of Mathematics
4 Units of Natural Science
3 Units of Social Science
2 Units of the same Foreign Language

Minimum - Required High School Curriculum Requirements grade point average: 2.0

Applicants who do not take the SAT and/or ACT, or who score below 480 Evidence Writing (17 ACT English) or 400 SAT math (17 ACT math) on the national SAT/ACT, are strongly encouraged to take the Next Generation Accuplacer  to determine whether Learning Support course work is required.  Students entering bachelor degree programs are required to provide SAT/ACT results as part of their application for admission.
