Faculty & Staff Meal Contract

Students who reside in University owned, operated, or managed residence halls are required to purchase a meal plan. The type of meal plan is the choice of the student unless restrictions are indicated on the meal plan contract.

Commuter students are not required to purchase a meal plan, however, they are encouraged to purchase a meal plan. They are convenient, flexible and offer options for dining on either campus.
Residential students submit meal plan changes through the Housing Application via the Housing Portal. The deadline to make changes is the last day of Drop/Add as outlined on the Academic Calendar. After that date, no changes may be made. No Exceptions!

Dining dollars are set up on your ASU ID card as a declining balance account. They may be used to make purchases at any dining facility on either campus, to include all retail operations and both dining hall. 

Dining Dollars may be used to purchase breakfast, lunch or dinner in the East and West Caf dining hall or at any retail establishment, i.e., RAMS Hideaway, Golden Espresso, Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut or Rams Wrap. The Dining dollar plan holder is not limited as to what he/she may purchase during the day as long as funds are available. Additional dining dollars may be purchased in increments of $100.00 throughout the semester and must be requested through the Additional Dining Dollars form. Dining dollar balances greater than $10.00, will be credited to the student account within 30 days from the last day of the semester.

Yes, students may access his/her meal plan on either campus in the dining hall or retail outlets. Dining Dollars may also be used on either campus.
It is possible that financial aid will be awarded in a sufficient amount to cover the cost of all tuition and fees to include the meal plan. Please check with the financial aid office to be sure sufficient funds are available. Should there not be sufficient funds to cover the balance due on the account, the student is responsible for paying the balance out of his/her pocket.
Residential meal plans activate the Friday before classes begin. Commuter, faculty, and staff meal plans will activate the first day of classes or within three business days of initial request.
Only Residential meal plans chosen for Fall will automatically roll over to Spring. Students will have an opportunity to make changes to their meal plan selections prior to the start of each semester.

No, there are no guest swipes included in the board plan. Should you wish to bring a guest to lunch, you may use your dining dollars to pay for the meal or purchase a guest meal plan. All locations accept cash, credit and debit cards.

Guest Meal Plan Contract

No, each meal plan allows for ONE swipe per person per meal plan serving period. All meal plans consist of any combination of breakfast, lunch or dinner. Only one meal swipe per meal period per day allowed, i.e., one swipe for breakfast per day, one swipe for lunch per day, or one swipe for dinner per day unless the ALL ACCESS plan is chosen.

The ALL ACCESS meal plan may only be used to swipe for meals for the person who purchased the plan. Swipes for guests are not allowed unless a Guest meal plan is purchased. To purchase a Guest meal plan, please refer to the Guest Meal Plan Contract  link.

Yes, both dining halls will observe the same operational hours. Please refer to the ASU Dining Operational Hours link.

Contact the Resident District Manager/General Manager of Dining Contractor at 229-500-2016. In-house personnel and a Registered Dietitian will work with any student and health care provider to assist with managing a student’s food allergies and special dietary needs.

The dining program is focused on nutrition. A Nutrition Alive program that meets the needs for healthier food options. The Star Chef program, an interactive menu program, will focus on highlighting healthier options and provide the most current nutritional information for the daily menus. Menu options are available daily to meet vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and other dietary needs.
